The project heavily references Provins, France and was at its best during the Romanesque Architecture movement. However, the building design will be replicated from the references. But the layout of how it is presented in the project will be vastly different from real life. This is due to creative freedom restriction and new architecture movement preceding the romanesque architecture taking place, resulting in replacing some romanesque buildings.
The design of the project aims to replicate the town square of Provins, France. The town square of the past was famous for its strategic location of trading for the French, thus heavily fortified. The trading pathway was what made it a popular destination amongst merchants, hence there would be alot of flea markets back in 11th to 13th century.
